Write What You Know

Once upon a time, I took a creative writing course from a lady named Jane Gentry Vance. (Yes, the same lady who is currently our official Kentucky Poet Laureate!) She always stressed that a writer has to start with what you know. So when the assignment of writing a "wiki" came about, I was stumped. What on earth do I know anything about?

After a week of mulling the idea, I've decided that what I know is pretty close to home. Specifically, I know a little, and want to learn a lot more, about my home neighborhood Woodward Heights and the area surrounding it in the downtown Lexington precinct Triangle Park. Thus, my wiki is:
